EUROPE. 15-18 JULY 2021.

Four days, three countries, one amazing road trip – in July we offer BMW i Pure Impulse members the opportunity to take their own BMW i8 from Munich to Merano, crossing the Jaufenpass and staying at the Arosea Life Balance Hotel in South Tyrol’s Val d’Ultimo.

Your long weekend of sheer driving pleasure will kick off in Munich, the home of BMW, where you will stay at the conveniently located Andaz Hotel in one of the city’s most popular neighbourhoods, Schwabing.

Shortly after breakfast on Friday 16 July, you and your fellow BMW i8 owners will head towards South Tyrol. The first leg of the scenic drive will see you not only crossing the Alps but the borders of two countries. Along the way, you will pass stunning scenery, conquer winding roads and remote corners and take the Strada Statale 44 del Passo di Giovo, which connects Etschtal with Eisacktal, passing through Passeier Valley and Jaufen Valley.

Your destination is the beautiful Val d’Ultimo, where you will soak up a sense of tranquillity at the eco-conscious Arosea Life Balance Hotel, which offers sustainable hospitality. You will spend two relaxing nights here, amidst one of the most beautiful and pristine valleys in the region, just 25km south-west of Merano and in the heart of Stelvio-Stilfser Joch National Park. While at the hotel, you will also taste local cuisine prepared with wholesome, naturally pure products.

More driving awaits on the third day of the trip as you explore the surrounding area and take on some of the lesser-known roads of the Trentino-Alto Adige. You will even get the chance to swap your BMW i8 for two wheels as you continue your adventure by e-bike and enjoy lunch with a view atop a mountain, taking in the area’s incredible landscape.

The event will come to an end with a delicious farewell dinner, at which you can reflect on your time together and get excited about sharing future moments at events to come.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to bring your own BMW i8, a small number of BMW vehicles will be available for this four-day event. However, vehicles will have to be returned to Munich on 18 July.
