DESIGN HOTELS™ – LE PIGALLE.
Le Pigalle Paris calls itself a ’neighbourhood hotel’. It is not only a part of its quartier, but shaped by it. Forty individually furnished rooms – each a stylish collection of trinkets, music, books and vintage furniture – display the works of local artists, the hotel’s pastries come from the bakery down the street and its literary kiosk is stocked with reading material from a local newsstand owner. It even takes its name from its location: Pigalle; Paris’ famed red-light district- which has recently morphed into the city’s hippest spot to eat, drink and shop. At the hotel’s ground floor locals and visitors alike come to dine, party or watch one of the table dancing shows. This is not the starry-eyed, dreamy Paris of romantics, but its sultry, provocative and creative counterpart – and you will love it all the more for it.
