OVR: ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH.
Art Basel’s popular Online Viewing Rooms are back and will feature a range of prestigious galleries that were accepted to the 2020 edition of the Miami Beach show.
Alongside the renowned high-end art offering, virtual visitors can expect an exciting program of online events, including an electronic music performance, talks and gallery walk-throughs.
One of the highlights will be Lu Yang’s BMW Art Journey. During OVR: Miami Beach, visitors will be able to view the artist’s Human Machine Reverse Motion Capture project, in which he explores the deployment of the human body in historical and present-day cultures, looking at traditional and contemporary dances.
The project includes a Bali mo-cap recording with Japanese and local dancers as well as a video of an augmented-reality gigantic superhero, who dances in the city. There will also be behind-the-scenes and making-of content, plus interactive experiences in the Acute Art app.
