WINDING TROUGH WALES.
WALES, UNITED KINGDOM. 6-8 SEPTEMBER 2019.
The Welsh word “hiraeth” describes a feeling of nostalgia and a deep yearning for home – and although there is no single good word to translate, you will get a sense for its meaning after what will be one the finest BMW i Pure Impulse scenic drives to date.
Join us in Wales, where we will spend two nights at the cosy, luxurious Lake Country House Hotel and Spa in Powys in east-central Wales.
This will be our starting point for a stunning scenic drive in your own BMW i8 – spend a day exploring the green beauty of the Welsh landscapes, with its ancient woodlands and moors.
Breathe the fresh air as you browse along some of Wales’ most exciting, albeit narrow roads and explore the ancient Devil’s Bridge, where three bridges are stacked on top of each other – legend has it that the devil built the lowest bridge himself – and where the river Rheidol drops 90m in a series of spectacular waterfalls.
Make your way over the tremendous mountain roads, past the northernmost of the Elan Valley reservoirs before we eventually drop back down into the picturesque village of Rhayader.
A delicious dinner in the company of your fellow BMW i Pure Impulse members at the hotel will top off this fantastic day – and we wouldn’t be surprised if the feeling of “hiraeth” overcame you and prompted you to return to this magical place soon.
