In November, BMW i Pure Impulse members from all over the world came together to visit the birthplace of their iconic BMW i8 – the BMW Group Plant Leipzig.

Before the main event – a visit to the plant – the guests, who stayed at The Westin Leipzig hotel, were given the opportunity to book city tours to explore Leipzig, known for its historic buildings and significance in the world of music, or to sign up for test drives of the latest BMW models, such as the brand-new BMW 8 Series Gran Coupé, the BMW X7, the BMW 7 Series PHEV or the BMW i8 Roadster.

The evening was spent at the hotel’s renowned two-Michelin-starred Falco restaurant, where everyone enjoyed a ten-course flying dinner and got to mingle with BMW engineers and product specialists who answered questions concerning the future of mobility.

The following day, the guests got to explore the BMW Group Plant Leipzig while gaining exclusive insights from BMW representatives. During their visit, the BMW i Pure Impulse members took a tour of the production line, learned about the history of BMW i and visited special exhibits.

In the evening, the guests were chauffeured to Panometer, a stunning event location housed in a former gasometer, which has been turned into a 360° exhibition arena. Upon arrival, they were greeted with a small Christmas market, built just for the occasion, where a traditional horn quartet played Christmas music. An interactive, Christmas-themed performance by the giant puppet Dundufollowed.

The guests were then led into Panometer where, before sitting down for an exclusive gala dinner,  they had the opportunity to take a look at Carola’s Garden, artist Yadegar Asisi’s panorama piece, the largest in the world.

The dinner took place in the main room surrounded by pieces of art, and was accompanied by speeches from Isabel Theissen (BMW i Product Management) and Dr Andreas Aumann (Senior Vice President Product Management BMW i and eMobility).

After dessert, Dundu ushered the guests to the BMW i Golden Bar, where a DJ provided musical entertainment while Dundu performed for a second time. Drinks were served till late and guests enjoyed a fun-filled atmosphere.
