The BMW i Pure Impulse calendar wouldn’t be complete without BMW i Pure Impulse Day! Now in its sixth year, this popular event will return to Munich, the hometown of BMW, this July. During this fun-packed weekend event, a range of exciting activities awaits.
Enjoy a stunning escape to the English countryside, full of dramatic views of an ancient, magical landscape, supremely grand country houses and classic luxury. You will explore the rugged surroundings of South West England during a specially tailored scenic drive in your own BMW i8.
Unleash your highest potential by harnessing the secret powers of fun, fear and focus. During an exclusive workshop, Friederike Fabritius (above), the acclaimed neuroscientist and author of ‘The Leading Brain: Neuroscience Hacks to Work Smarter, Better, Happier’, will provide you with actionable skills that will enable you to live a more productive, holistic and happier life.
For decades, premium-segment camera manufacturer Leica has been upping the standards of photography by continuously revolutionising the market with new technologies and designs. We’ve teamed up with the world-class brand to bring BMW i Pure Impulse members an exciting photography experience. During this weekend event, you’ll get to grips with one of the iconic and state-of-the-art cameras and learn tips and tricks from Leica experts as you take your street photography skills to the next level.
Get ready for a star-studded event in the heart of the Basque Country. Enjoy lunch at three-Michelin-star restaurant Azurmendi, where chef Eneko Atxa’s passion for sustainability and originality creates an uber-cool, unconventional foodie experience. The restaurant itself is housed in an edgy bioclimatic glass building made from environmentally friendly materials, setting the tone for the mouth-watering culinary event you’re about to become part of.
REVIEW. BMW i PURE IMPULSE DAY AND SCENIC DRIVE 2019.
Innovation and driving pleasure were at the heart of the BMW Pure Impulse Day 2019. On arrival, guests – from 11 countries were greeted by a BMW i3 Roadside Edition at the entrance of the Fürstenfelder Hotel in Fürstenfeldbruck.
This journey was an extraordinary culinary highlight for BMW i Pure Impulse members and their companions, who were keen to learn more about the philosophy of slow food. They were delighted to have the opportunity to get to know the chef Bledar Kola and enjoy his unique gastronomic creations in Tirana, Albania, in early September.
The BMW i Pure Impulse members from the UK, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands who took part in this Scenic Drive will fondly remember the first days of September. It was an extraordinary weekend, during which participants could savour the charming and lush Welsh landscape with all their senses.
A trip to Bordeaux proved to be a memorable first for a group of BMW i Pure Impulse guests made up of no less than nine different nationalities – none of whom had ever visited this gorgeous city before –, filled with decadent French cuisine and inspiring architectural, scenic and historic discoveries.
In a memorable first, BMW i Pure Impulse members from the UK, Russia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic and France travelled from Munich, Germany, to the charming town of Bormio, Italy, in a scenic drive that spanned four countries with the majestic Alps as their backdrop for the day.
REVIEW. BMW i MEETS M: REV UP YOUR DRIVING EXPERIENCE.
For guests from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and the UK, an exciting day of driving and practising new manoeuvres with a selection of BMW M models and the BMW i8, awaited at the top-class BMW and MINI Driving Academy in Maisach.
On a crisp spring weekend, BMW i Pure Impulse members from the US, the UK and Germany came together at the charming town of Amenia in Upstate New York. A former mining site turned summer camp destination, the town was deserted when a burst dam turned it into wetlands half a century ago, but has recently started flourishing again, becoming a sought-after destination for city-dwellers looking for a relaxing mini-break.
A real money-can’t-buy experience awaited BMW i Pure Impulse members who took a behind-the-scenes peek at the making of the latest Mahogany Session video in mid-April. Shot in a carefully selected location, this video production was staged exclusively for BMW i Pure Impulse guests in a Bicester Heritage hangar with upcoming artist Toby Johnson as the star.
The trademark whimsical and eye-catching visuals and supreme blending of Korean and European influences were much in evidence in the stunning courses served up by famed chef Choi Hyun-seok and his team at CHOI. in Seoul this spring. The total of 49 guests from Korea sipped a welcome glass of champagne on arrival, a stylish entry to chef Choi’s equally sophisticated restaurant on the similarly up-market side of Gangnam. Before the BMW i Pure Impulse members sat down to enjoy the exquisitely crafted cuisine, they were welcomed by Wolfgang Hacker, Head of Brand Management at BMW Korea.
As the distinctive blue, white and black livery of the BMW i Andretti Motorsport racecar swept through the awe-inspiring, monument-packed streets of central Paris in the thrilling eighth round of the Formula E championship, BMW i Pure Impulse members from across Europe and the US looked on and took in the electric atmosphere.
Famous routes of Japan, alongside well-researched off-the-beaten-track roads, stunning views of snow-clad Mount Fuji, top-class hospitality and a convivial atmosphere all translated into a wonderful scenic driving experience among the lakes, mountains and hot springs of Hakone.
REVIEW. DEAL OR NO DEAL: A DAY WITH MATTHIAS SCHRANNER.
It wasn’t FBI headquarters, but the plush Sofitel Frankfurt Opera hotel where a very international group of BMW i Pure Impulse members – who had travelled from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Singapore and Canada – to learn from Matthias Schranner, CEO and founder of the Schranner Negotiation Institute and one of the best negotiators in the world.
A beautiful setting in a 13th-century manor house, a wonderful lunch and a stellar hands-on culinary masterclass awaited BMW i Pure Impulse members at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, home to the cookery school of celebrated chef Raymond Blanc.
