REVIEW. DEAL OR NO DEAL: A DAY WITH MATTHIAS SCHRANNER.

FRANKFURT AM MAIN, GERMANY.

It wasn’t FBI headquarters, but the plush Sofitel Frankfurt Opera hotel where a very international group of BMW i Pure Impulse members – who had travelled from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Singapore and Canada – to learn from Matthias Schranner, CEO and founder of the Schranner Negotiation Institute and one of the best negotiators in the world.

The day started off over a relaxed chat as well as a small second breakfast for the guests. Then Dr Andreas Aumann, Vice President Product Management BMW i, e-mobility, who also joined the event, greeted guests personally before Matthias Schranner kicked off the workshop.

Mr Schranner – who was trained by police and FBI to deal with even the trickiest of situations – gave attendees advanced strategies for handling difficult negotiations, such as how to deal with demanding negotiation partners and breaking deadlock situations. He also gave personalised tips that guests would be able to use to their advantage in their line of work.

Guests eagerly participated in the workshop and revelled in the opportunity to learn from Mr Schranner, with fabulous feedback from all attendees at the end of the workshop.

Of course, there was also plenty of time for socialising and enjoying delicious food and drink – first, guests were treated to some sweet and savoury morsels as well as a buffet-style lunch during workshop breaks. Later, guests reconvened at the observation platform of Frankfurt’s Main Tower high-rise to marvel at the spectacular bird’s eye view the deck offers over Germany’s leading financial centre, before descending to the 53rd floor (still sitting at 187 metres above ground), where dinner was served at the excellent Main Tower Restaurant & Lounge as a soaring conclusion to a successful day.
