REVIEW. WELCOME TO THE FUTURE.

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN.

BMW i Pure Impulse members from all over the world came to Stockholm, Sweden, in October to attend the exciting Welcome to the Future event.

The stylish Hotel Skeppsholmen, only a few minutes from Stockholm, became the home base for the weekend. Here, Markus Pluntke, Product Manager BMW i8, greeted BMW i Pure Impulse members on the day of arrival before the delicious dinner at the hotel’s event venue Skridskopaviljongen.

The following day, a visit to the science museum Tekniska museet was on the agenda. The group had the chance to follow a guided tour through the Robots – Making Machines Human exhibition and explore the space on their own before the museum opened for the day.

Afterwards, BMW i Pure Impulse members discovered the beauty of Stockholm: a private boat tour was one of the highlights of the day.

The evening was spent at the Spritmuseum, where Christian Lichtmannecker, BMW Strategy Manager Digitisation, held a presentation around the topic of Future of Mobility. A champagne reception in the main hall of the museum, home to the exhibition The Future of Food and Drink, followed.

The day came to an end with an exquisite dinner at the museum’s restaurant. Head chef Petter Nilsson greeted guests and explained the vegetarian menu and his sustainable, no-food-waste approach.

Guests departed the next day having had an eventful and exciting weekend in the Swedish capital.
